TECHNICAL SALES ADMINISTRATOR

 

Job Requirements and Objectives

Our growing science and technology equipment based company is in immediate need of a Technical Sales Assistant. We are looking for a highly organised and efficient individual who can wear multiple hats throughout the working day whilst prioritising the most important tasks on his or her action list.  Previous technical sales support and administration experience within a science based engineering environment would be an advantage.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Responsibility for sales support of research activities to the UK and International markets
  • To gain a level of technical competence and understanding of the key functions of the company’s products and services
  • A technical mind-set is preferred to enable interpretation of powder specifications, procedures and related documents. Assist in the preparation of proposals – costings for technical and financial accuracy
  • Provide support in areas relating to the sales process including interpreting customer needs and requirements
  • Provide support in R&D funded Government projects
  • Opportunities to attend Exhibitions and Conferences (UK and International)

Candidate Profile

  • The candidate must be able to demonstrate a combination of people and business skills with close attention to detail
  • Qualified, ideally with a science based Bachelor’s Degree Engineering subject
  • Consideration will also be given to applicants with advance level qualifications in Maths / Physics or Science based subject with a minimum 3 years business experience
  • The ideal candidate will be self-motivated with excellent communication (internal / external) skills and behaviour required to efficiently handle the daily process necessary to support the sales department and preferably, to have several years’ experience in a similar environment
  • Ability to multi-task and manage time effectively and efficiently
  • Integrate and participate efficiently as an active team member within the company’s departmental structure
  • They will feel comfortable and confident whilst interfacing with existing as well as prospective customers
  • A UK Driving licence is essential, as is a UK passport and the ability and willingness to travel to any country in the world if required
  • A good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including, Outlook, Excel and Power Point would be expected

Salary: IRO £20-£25,000pa, paid monthly on last working day of each month

SYSTEMS ENGINEER (SKILLED/SEMI-SKILLED) 

 

Phoenix Scientific Industries Ltd (PSI) is an established leader in the design and manufacture of bespoke advance process plant equipment used in the scientific advanced material development industries worldwide. An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced skilled engineer to join our highly skilled engineering team within the manufacturing facility. 

Job Specification

This role would be suited to a keen enthusiastic individual that is looking for an opportunity in career advancement in a multi-disciplined, engineering systems build environment. The ideal candidate will typically be from a mechanical or maintenance engineering background.

Duties to include, but not limited to:

  • Work with their own skills and initiative using skilled engineering techniques and procedures together with recognition and awareness of current HSE safe working Regulations 
  • Minimum Qualification standards: – Mechanical Engineering BTEC Advanced or similar 
  • Ideally from an engineering/maintenance background with a strong mechanical bias with some understanding of  vacuum, water cooling pipework, pneumatic systems within both sub-assemblies and large assembly builds would be an advatage
  • Part of a small team working within a safe modern working environment
  • Assist with sub system bench build and equipment tests, including configuration and calibration
  • Experienced in setting and using manual lathe and milling machines
  • General erection and disassembly of process plant equipment
  • Training given within specific specialist areas if required
  • Opportunities for future worldwide overseas travel (fully expensed)
